Lotus Cuisine of India is one of several Indian restaurants in Marin County run by Surinder Sroa and his family. Surinder, or Pal as he is called by his friends, was born in India and grew up in the grocery and spice business. Surinder and his wife Linda Sroa, their son Jyoti and nephew Amba created this eatery in 1998. Pal has been a resident of Marin County since 1987 and feels privileged to run the best Indian restaurants in Marin. Surinder is also very proud to have many members of his family helping to make the Lotus Family of Indian restaurants the very best in the San Francisco North Bay.
Meet the Family
Amba is the general manager of Lotus Cuisine of India and has been working at our flagship restaurant since it’s inception back in 1999. Having always been in love with Indian cuisine, Amba is proud to offer Marin County the very best Indian food money can buy. When he is not serving customers at Lotus Amba is usually at home with his wife and children. Lotus is a family-owned Indian eatery. Amba is also the nephew of owner Surinder Sroa.
Jyoti Sroa is the son of Surinder “Pal” Sroa and has been working for the Lotus Family of Restaurants since he was still in school. He is enrolled at the Santa Rosa Junior College for Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. Currently Jyoti works at Lotus Cuisine of India in the mornings and he runs Cafe Lotus in Fairfax in the evenings. His favorite dish is Paneer Tikka Masala.
