Have you heard? The 4th Lotus restaurant in Marin is opening in Sausalito this Summer!
Exciting news for fans of Lotus contemporary Indian cuisine. Owner Surinder Sroa has purchased Sartaj India Cafe on Caledonia Street in Sausalito and will be relaunching it as Sartaj by Lotus.
After completing ADA compliance work, he will consult with his friends and previous owners, Gurmail and Balbir Basi, who were in the space for 21 years and have many loyal customers. He would like to stay true to their northern Indian menu but will simplify it and focus on sustainable, organic ingredients like he does in his other restaurants.
The restaurant will be open breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This is Sroa’s fourth Lotus location in Marin and next up for this busy family is the opening of a fine dining restaurant in the Mission district of San Francisco later this year.
